I founded Lloyd Landscaping in the spring of 1994, after 12 years of working in the landscaping field. I founded it on the simple basis of treating each job opportunity as it is my own. Applying 30 years experience, using only quality products and plant materials grown locally, I strive to beautify America one opportunity at a time.
Before my grandfather, John Bauer II, passed away, he gave me some interesting articles about my great grandfather. He thought I would enjoy them since my great grandfather was in a similiar field of work.My great grandfather owned and operated Bauer Greenhouses, on Bauer Road in Naperville, IL. He had created a plant support clip that would help certain plants, such as Peonies and Mums, from drooping down when they became top heavy. He also applied for and received 3 patents for his efforts. Anybody reading the Naperville Clarion in the 1930's would have seen ads for the Add-a-Unit Stake and Plant Support units.Like my great grandfather, I continue to strive to keep creativity and an open mind necessary to operate Lloyd Landscaping at the high level of quality it is today.
